Northwest O'ahu, Ka'ena Point, Hawaii
Ka'ena Point is home to nesting Layson Albatross, monk seals, and other native coastal species.
The volcano on the Big Island was sending 'vog' into the air so the coastal shots aren't as clear as I'd hoped, but still, it was so cool to stand at the Point and look down two sides of the island at once. The Ka'ena hike is an easy 3.5 mile walk or mountain bike trail.
Three most important things are 1) comfortable footwear, 2) Water! 3) hat or an umbrella . . .
