There are two mountain ranges on the island of Oahu, each formed by a different volcano. Waianae Volcano formed the Waianae Mountain Range on the western part of O'ahu. The Koolau Volcano formed the Koolau Mountain Range that runs along the eastern part of the island. The Waianae mountain range is about 22 miles long,and its highest peak, Mount Kaala, is also the highest spot on the island of oahu at 4025 feet.
